Made of Western Red Cedar - full dimension 2"x4" material -not skimpy thin material that you usually find. These planters are like our furniture - no rough edges! The legs keep the planter up off the deck so there will be air flow to help prevent rotting and staining or moisture build up. Our planters are finished with a natural cedar weather stain.
